Hello again! My name is Tracey Walsh and I am the second grade teacher at Morton Gingerwood Elementary School. I graduated from Benedictine University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. I, myself, attended Morton Gingerwood for first and second grade and then went on to graduate from Marian Catholic High School. Throughout college I worked at a special needs summer camp as a camp counselor. I have worked at Morton Gingerwood for 4 years now and I absolutely love it here. I love helping kids realize their full potential and see them strive to reach the goals I know they can achieve.
Communication is crucial for our classroom’s success. I strive for good communication between myself and my students, the students and their parent or guardian, and myself and the parent or guardian. If I have any questions, concerns, or just want to let you know how your student is doing I will be sending a letter home or sending an e-mail. Please do not hesitate to do the same. I usually check my e-mail daily but feel free to contact me by phone as well. If I do not answer in a timely manner you can also call the school’s main office and our secretary, Mrs. Walker, will provide you with the best answer she can. But please contact me FIRST and only call the main office if it is question dealing with something outside of our classroom. Thank you!
